(1) Persons vaccinated against COVID-19 are entitled, upon request, to the following rights:
a) paid day off, which is not included in the annual leave day, for each dose of vaccine, for employees from the public and private systems;
b) day of exemption for attending classes, for each dose of vaccine, in the case of pupils and students;
c) day of permission leave for each dose of vaccine, in case of active military personnel and professional soldiers.
The rights of the persons listed in point (1) shall be granted based on the vaccination certificate.
Employees should inform the employer of the leave scheduling options they are to request. If the scheduling of the day off coincides with the day of vaccination, the employees must submit the vaccination certificate on the first working day after vaccination.
The Parents or the child’s legal representative up to 18 years can benefit from paid days off on the day of vaccination of the child. The same rights are applicable in the case of persons with a disability up to 26 years. In addition to the vaccination certificate, they should submit to the employer a self-declaration of the other parent or legal representative, according to which they have not requested and will not request the day off on the day of vaccination of the child or person with a disability
The provisions of this article do not apply in the situation where the persons provided in par. (1) lit. a) or c) are vaccinated at the workplace as organized by the employer.
